Washington St., Phoenix. $38.50 and up. 800-745-3000, livenation.com. PHOTOS: 2017 JINGLE BASH 12/3: Red Fang 'Only Ghost' is among the decade's most compelling arguments in favor of returning metal to its roots, from the Sabbath-worthy psychedelic sludge of such obvious highlights as 'No Air' and 'The Smell of Sound' to an opening number that filters the punkish intensity of Motorhead through a melodic sensibility closer in spirit to Queens of the Stone Age. If you're into stoner-rock at all, this one's for you. Details: 8 p.m. 3. Rebel Lounge, 2303 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.

$22; $20 in advance. 12/4: (Expletive) Up You're on your own to pencil in the first half of their name. But rest assured, these Canadian punks are not just at the forefront of their chosen genre, they're expanding the horizons of that genre on albums as brilliant as this year's sprawling 'Dose Your Dreams.'

As the Guardian summed the album up, 'The 18 eclectic tracks hang together because of a gleeful joie de vivre, and are the best songs of the band’s career.' Details: 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec.

In addition to Hopkins, they take on selections by Lloyd Price (whose “Lawdy Miss Clawdy” sounds better than ever), Brownie McGhee, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Woody Guthrie and Chet Powers’ oft-recorded “Get Together.” Details: 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Rhythm Room, 1019 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. 12/7: Minus the Bear These guys have been rocking the prog side of the indie trenches since 2001, earning a five-star review from Alternative Press for a second album called “Menos el Oso.” Thirteen years later, they're headed to Tempe on a farewell tour, explaining on their website that 'These final shows are a celebration for the community of fans who gave us so much through years' and an 'opportunity to play our hearts out for you one last time.' 14. Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd St., Phoenix. 12/14: OK Go It was a series of imaginative videos that made these rockers famous, so it only stands to reason that they'd dream up a creative way to shine a spotlight on that side of what they do (not that their music isn't strong enough to stand or fall on its own merits).
